Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
The International Journal of Health Management and Holistic Sexuality requires authors to comply with research and publication ethics. Compliance with "National and International Ethical Guidelines" and permission from the relevant ethics committees are essential for research conducted in humans or animals. The articles in the journal must be prepared within the framework of "ethical principles". Ethical responsibility belongs to the authors. In addition, the editorial board, authors and referees should take into account the recommendations of ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and the International Standards for Editors and Authors of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
All articles submitted to the International Journal of Health Management and Holistic Sexuality;
- First, they are checked by the editor, deputy editor, and technical editor according to the journal's editorial rules. Articles that are not found appropriate according to the journal's publication principles and rules are returned to the author without further review. Corrections may be requested from the authors when necessary.
- Articles that are prepared by the journal's editorial rules and whose plagiarism rate does not exceed 25% are taken into the evaluation process by the editor. At this stage, the editors may make a rejection decision, send the article to the author, or initiate the reviewing process if they deem it scientifically inadequate.
- At least two reviewers are invited for the scientific evaluation of the articles deemed appropriate by the editor. Reviewers are expected to upload their opinions/suggestions/corrections to the system within the evaluation period.
- The article is sent to the author to revise the reviewer's suggestions and, if any, the editorial board's suggestions. Authors are required to accept the revision request and upload the revised file to the system within the specified period (making revisions does not mean that the article will be published for sure). Changes made in the revised file should be shown as an explanation.
- Revised manuscripts uploaded to the system within the specified period are checked by the editorial board. After revision, the editors may send the article back to the review process or revise/accept/reject the decision.
- If one reviewer makes a major correction decision and the other reviewer makes a minor correction decision, a major correction decision is made. After the final corrections, a final decision is made as a result of the editorial evaluation. In case one reviewer makes a rejection decision and the other reviewer makes an acceptance or revision decision, a third reviewer is assigned. The final decision is made by the editor by taking into account all reviewer suggestions.
- Articles revised by the authors and accepted by the editors are evaluated in terms of spelling and language and then sent for layout editorial control. After the layout, final checks are made and revisions may be requested from the author if necessary. After all checks are made and the acceptance decision is made, the article is assigned to the relevant issue and queued for publication. All these situations are sent to the responsible author via e-mail to their addresses registered in the system.
- After the articles are published, the authors are given a certain period to check the manuscript, during which time the authors are obliged to notify the editors of any changes. Since no changes can be made at the end of this period, authors who do not return are considered to have approved the final version of the article.
